The Name Of The Wind

This was a reread for me. I absolutely adore this book. I think it's beautifully written with amazing characters, and I truly hope that one day Patrick Rothfuss finishes his series. I listened to the audiobook, which was expertly narrated. I really liked the framing of the novel itself being told as a story to the Chronicler.

The prose is what pulled this together for me. Just as the title suggests, moving through this text and allowing yourself to flow along with it is both enjoyable and insightful.

This book makes more sense if you’ve read the other 6 books first, but it would also be fine on its own.

Good book

House Of Salt And Sorrows

This YA romanasty started out with murderous intent. Who was killing off the sisters? As it progresses, I was able to figure out who was at fault. It could have been shortened by at least 50 pages. The book was entertaining, very interested to see if the sequel will be better.

Shark Girl

This was a super easy read and pretty interesting! It tells a whole story through a collection of poems - it's refreshing compared to the anthologies with random poems laced together. Though sometimes it was difficult to keep the characters straight, I'd say this was an overall good read!
